Americorps Vista Volunteer Position

Children’s Village has an opening for an AmeriCorps VISTA position starting February 2020. This is a one-year volunteer position that includes a nominal stipend for living expenses of approximately $479 bi-week. Benefits include an end-of-service Education Award of approximately $5,920 (Use by AmeriCorps member or can be gifted to immediate family member), Healthcare Allowance Plan benefit, child care benefit, professional development and one year of non-competitive eligibility for employment in the federal government.  More details about these benefits can be found at https://www.vistacampus.gov/in-service/benefits-service.  The position will require approximately 40 hours per week at Children’s Village in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  Duties include working in collaboration with the Human Resource Specialist and the Volunteer Coordinator to research best practices and develop a new and sustainable employee wellness program, advanced volunteer program and emergency preparedness program.
